Wanda Herman says, "I love portraiture, still and wild life, and what I call peoplescapes. To envision an idea and portray it on canvas or paper is a necessity."
Wanda is President/Signature Member of the Alabama Pastel Society, juried member of Watercolor Society, Signature member of Experimental Artists of Alabama, and a member of the National League of American Pen Women as well as SouthWest Artists, Inc. of Mena, Arkansas. Her paintings have been accepted in many juried competitions and exhibitions in which she has won numerous awards, including Best of Show.
She studied art at W.S.U., Dayton, Ohio, Washington School of Art, L. I., New York, and with outstanding individual instructors. She does commissioned portraits and paintings and also teaches. Her works are in public, private and corporate collections across the U. S. A. An 177-foot wall mural was painted by Wanda for Cathedral of the Cross, Birmingham, Alabama, and is open to the public. The work depicts portraits and scenes from the Old Testament found in Hebrews 11.
